It(2017)

Let me start by saying....I hate clowns!

That being said I hated watching this movie, yet I watched it 3 times and will probably be watching it a fourth time pretty soon with my family. There have been rumors running around all over the internet and through my social circle about King redoing all of his films in order to get them to be more like the books. Which is all fine and dandy especially with how Successful this film and Dark Towers have been. If you haven't seen Dark Towers you need to. It was a totally unexpected performance by Matthew McConaughey but great!

     Anyway, It.
I'm sure most of you have seen this this anyway if not you have to. As a horror fan you have to. You can't call yourself a fan of horror if you haven't watched this let alone the original...now I'm not saying I support pirated movies and the illegal websites like "gomovies" and "123movies", but you have to see both the original and the remake. Then you can call yourself a horror fan. Mind you again I hate clowns with a burning passion but this film was so good I have watched it multiple times.

I honestly don't have any complaints other then the fact that I peed a little on one scene because of a stupid jump scare toward the end so if you haven't watched either It film's go binge watch them now!

[Rec]

As fans of horror I think most of you have seen this film.

This was actually the first time I watched the film all the way through. For fans of zombies and paranormal possessions this film is fantastic...well as long as you have a good relationship with found footage.

There have been countless times that I have tried to watch this film but for the longest time I couldn't get past the opening that being my biggest problem with the film. It wasn't that it was a slow opening I just have a very complicated relationship with found footage films. Some are lovable others aren't. That being said I'm typically very skeptical going into these types of movies. Other that there wasn't anything that bothered me except for the personality of the female lead yes her character was perfect for the film and is exactly what the film needed she was just frustrating throughout most of the film.
An issue that I have with most like this is the build up an excellent example of poor build up was Cannibal Holocaust(1980), in this particular film it was fantastic from beginning to end. I loved that throughout the whole film you're sitting there wondering what was going on just like the characters and why the hell they couldn't leave the building? Then at the very end you find out with the two main characters what exactly was going on, however it seemed as if the film writers weren't sure which direction to go with or as if there were two culprits trying to act together. On one hand you have the CDC claiming infection spread through a dog and then the other one you have a crappy eerie  apartment holding a possessed child. Looks like I'm going to have to watch the next two to see if that clears up or not. Otherwise great film and loved the possessed zombies they were fairly realistic.

Four out of five screams.

I'd love to hear you're thoughts on the film in the comments below.

Sodium Babies (2016)

With a name like sodium babies you would think it'd be about how dangerous working out could be so I thought, "Oh hey new excuse to not go to the gym".  Of course I couldn't be further from the truth.Sodium Babies is a French film with English subtitles about a "vampling" or ghoul who's rebelled against the head vampire for revenge against the clan that brain washed him for the purpose of not getting their hands dirty.
Now I have the attention span of a goldfish unless you happen to be anything related to horror or the macabre. That being said I've tried to watch the film maybe four times but the first 15 minutes just cannot keep my attention for the life of me so I go blank on that area of the backstory that seems to be a major part of the film, but after that fifteen-minute mark I just can't seem to peel my eyes away from the screen.
All in all I give it a two out of five shrieks.
Not only did it seem like a sob revenge story but it didn't exactly scream quality or horror. There were maybe two scenes that I can remember a few days after I watch the film. First one is the short scene of the brainwashing and the "lessons" of being part of the undead living community. Then second is a completely ridiculous and entertaining revenge scene in the form of a cheesy 90s game show.
As for the rest of the film it just seemed  as if the actors were playing a new card game they weren't sure how to play even though the instructions were recently just explained to them; it still seemed fun so they'd play along until they figured it out... which by the way didn't happen until the film was pretty much under wraps.
